PROTOCOL

EXPECTATIONS

You should expect from CC Lax coaches and staff follow-through, competence, professionalism and 100% support of all members.
We will be honest – no matter what.

We expect that you let us do our job to:
• Make each player better
• Manage expectations
• Determine player field placement
• Support each athlete in her OWN process
   of playing in college

PLAYING

ONE CLUB ::  CCLax must be your # 1 lacrosse commitment. The only team to take precedence over CCLax is your school or seasonal rec team. You may not play for another year-round club.

READY TO PLAY :: Players are required to bring ALL gear to ALL events- reversible, racer back top, flag skirt, BLACK (only) spandex. You must compete in your designated uniform with the number assigned for the current year. All undergarments must match the uniform- therefore, the only acceptable color is BLACK! Headbands & hair ribbons/ties must also conform to our colors- red/black/gold.
Neon anything – don’t even think about it !

PLAYING TIME :: PT is based on performance ~ a reflection of your hard work, commitment, drive and skill. Your playing time will be affected by your practice time. CCLax is not Rec Ball.

PROTOCOL

COMMITMENT :: CCLax will provide the opportunity for all members to become the best person and player they can be. This requires full participation – you must attend practice,  training opportunities and tournaments throughout the entire year 'round club lacrosse season - no exceptions.

ATTENDANCE :: All players are not only expected, but required, to attend all team practices and tournaments. If a practice is to be missed, the coach must be contacted at least one day prior. Missing any practice without a legitimate excuse will affect field time.

NOTE: There are no refunds or pro-rated fees for missed tournaments.

COMMUNICATION + ACCOUNTABILITY

COMMUNICATION ::  We expect you to access an email account on a daily basis to receive and reply to CCLax updates and announcements.

ACCOUNTABILITY :: Each athlete will be taught the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and leadership. We strongly encourage our players, not their parents, to initiate communication with their coach. The PLAYER will be held accountable for her actions and the accompanying consequences.

SPORTSMANSHIP

SPORTSMANSHIP :: CCLax is dedicated to excellence in lacrosse performance and has high expectations of conduct, with specific criteria including your coachability, work ethic and commitment.

The level of sportsmanship that we demand from our staff, players and their parents has been applauded across the US. We will continue this standard of zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior and hope it continues to set the standard for the entire country.

BULLYING :: Not tolerated. Period. CCLax membership terminated.

SIDELINE BEHAVIOR :: Positive reinforcement for all athletes on the field is the spectator behavior we encourage. On field opposition to referees, coaches and athletes is unacceptable.

The nationally recognized Purple Card was started in CCLax-ville and we will continue to enforce the standards we set 25 years ago.
